Simon offers expertise in cross-border M&A, corporate finance, activist shareholders and complex corporate issues, including remuneration. Leading negotiations on corporate transactions in the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan and the US, his insight spans the retail, property and software industries.

Simon’s career began as Company Secretary and later, Legal Advisor and Group Legal Counsel roles for several public companies. Through these roles he gained significant insight in dealing with major corporate operations, including complex cross-border negotiations. Simon’s NED and advisory experience dates from 2003 and spans a range of fields from technology to clothing.
Since stepping back from full-time corporate life, Simon enjoys a plural portfolio, including working as an adviser with an IT start-up, an online fashion retailer and an online moisturiser start-up. He is leading the Cyber practice for a firm of solicitors, and also manages a property portfolio.
Pro bono, he is a member of the Audit Committee at Exeter University and is Governor at NE Surrey College of Technology.
