Executive Coach - UK

As a highly experienced transition coach, Paula works at ExCo level or just below. She supports her clients taking the next step in their career and rising to the challenge that comes with assuming a senior leadership role.

Commercial Experience

For three decades Paula’s core focus has been the careers and performance of senior people; initially as a head-hunter (PwC/Norman Broadbent) and since 2003, as a coach. Her experience spans a wide range of sectors and cultures and she has lived and worked in Geneva, New York and Jeddah.

Paula is a specialist in all types of personal transition, such as a new role or a company realignment, and is frequently retained longer term as an independent thinking partner. She is often engaged by successful high performers who want to tackle a specific development area that could otherwise prove career limiting. She uses a range of models and approaches based on adult learning and psychotherapeutic theories and neuroscience, often in combination. Motivation theory, solutions-focused language and cognitive-behavioural techniques feature prominently in her practice. She extensively uses interview based, 360 feedback. Her approach varies according to the individual client, culture and coaching agenda.

Coaching Experience

With more than 2000 hours of coaching experience, Paula typically works at, or just below, executive committee level and also greatly enjoys coaching high potential emerging talent. Her approach is shaped by an in-depth understanding of the factors that both facilitate and derail successful careers and an appreciation of the importance of organisational context in every coaching engagement.
