Career history

Acknowledged in the industry as having an unprecedented and exceptional range of responsibility, Nigel joined British Airways (BA) in 2014 as Chief Learning Officer. He set the strategic direction for all senior hires, leadership development, learning, performance management and succession planning across BA’s global operation. Accountable for the design and delivery of this strategy, as well as numerous other operational change programmes, Nigel led the marketing, design and delivery of BA’s learning offering to external parties, with full P&L responsibility, generating a revenue stream in excess of £6m pa.

Current Portfolio

Nigel has developed a strong international reputation as a conference speaker in his fields of HR, commercial focus and workplace psychology expertise. He is in regular demand to speak at venues across the world.

He is also joint owner and Finance Director of a property business based in Reading.

Nigel’s first book, The Ten Management PEPs (Plain English Principles for Being a Great People Manager), was published in 2006 and has sold to a worldwide audience.

Nigel has mentored dozens of senior leaders across all the organisations for which he has worked, including two CEOs, He also mentors a number of local business owners in his local community.
