I have over 20 years’ experience in financial management and business transformation, and more than 20 years’ experience of working independently supporting major businesses and senior leaders.
After graduating I spent three years working as Controller, then Head of Controlling, for power station equipment manufacturer Steinmuller in South Africa. In the UK I held a number of roles in financial and strategic analysis, cost management and as a transformation and system implementation specialist for companies including Rank Xerox, Albright & Wilson and KPMG, working mostly in the power generation and mobile telephony industries.
In 1995 I set up my own business and for the first six years ran the change aspects of major transformation programmes which included maintaining the long-term survival of a major power station in the UK and a significant mine in North Africa. Their closure would have meant wide-scale deprivation in those areas; instead they are now high-performing units.
In 2001 I fundamentally shifted my business focus to facilitation, leadership development, collaborative change and executive coaching.
