Career history

CArol’s career began with Slaughter and May as a solicitor specialising in corporate finance. At British Gas, she led the demerger legal team and deepened her insight into corporate, capital markets, regulation and commercial matters, before becoming highly seasoned in governance, corporate affairs, project finance and treasury matters in her role as Deputy General Counsel.

She has experience in a listed company environment, logistics and e-commerce from her role with TDG plc, before moving to large scale infrastructure projects, government relations, laws and regulation with Amey plc.

Carol also has an extensive history of non-executive roles.

Current Portfolio

Carol is currently an Executive Board Director of Heathrow which is highly regulated and constantly under Government, media and public scrutiny. As Chief of Staff and General Counsel at Heathrow, she has Board and management responsibility for a wide range of corporate functions, spanning from legal affairs to CSR, sustainability and environment.
