Aziz Future Leaders

Neopost is a global supplier of business communication solutions that optimise sending and receiving mail, parcels and emails. With a global turnover of €1 billion, they have 800,000 customers in 90 countries and have 5,900 employees.

Faced with the digital revolution and increasing e-commerce together with a significant growth in parcel volumes, Neopost are shifting from their traditional mailroom equipment and services towards software solutions that manage data reliably over multiple channels. This has led to a significant organisational change in the way the company operates globally to share resources and avoid duplication.

CHALLENGE

Eleven middle managers, with between 5 and 10 years management experience but little formal training, were identified as high performers via their annual review. They had been put forward by their line managers as having the potential to take on a future senior role or a much broader role.

The managers were selected from a range of locations and roles, however they were all finding the change within the company a challenge, in particular, communicating this to their teams.

“I couldn’t reassure people when rumours started. I wasn’t sure what the goals or progress was. How could I motivate my team?”

Neopost were looking for a management programme to support these managers through this period of change as well as to prepare them for a more senior role.

THE AZIZ PROGRAMME

Aziz Future Leaders programme is made up of 8 modules, designed to accelerate the career paths of high potential individuals, was planned for delivery over an eleven-month period. Prior to the first module, all delegates carried out a ‘Strengthscope’ psychometric assessment and received feedback during an introductory session. This reflective tool, focusing on building individual strengths was a positive start to the programme. The modules which followed were grounded in established theory and provided managers with opportunities to use small group coaching to practise their skills and commit to changes in behaviour. Each manager used the framework of a project to research an existing workplace challenge and consider how they could now tackle this. At the end of the programme they shared with the executive board what they had learnt, what they had changed within their teams over the 11-month period and what they had committed to moving forward.

AZIZ FUTURE LEADERS

These practical workshops are delivered by our team of trusted and highly experienced consultants. The one-day modules have been designed to offer total flexibility, to complement existing management training programmes or to be delivered as a suite of workshops over time. These modules are designed for first-time managers or those with little formal training; more cost effective than our bespoke leadership course, this programme still benefits from our wealth of experience and the expertise of our coaches.
