Advanced Speechwriting Skills (1 to 1 or group)
Effortless speechwriting: how to write a speech with impact Politicians do it with ease, royalty do it rather formally and radio presenters do it from paper… they can all deliver the spoken word from a well-honed and crafted script. The question is, can you develop a written script which is well structured, can be spoken fluently and is truly inspirational?
Scriptwriting for yourself and others
Do you want to:
• Construct a ‘long-form’ script for yourself or others?
• Write an inspirational speech?
• Understand the tools and techniques of script-writing ?
Structuring a speech for impact
Scripted speech is the hardest form of spoken presentation to write and deliver well. But scripts are often needed when information is highly sensitive and must be word-perfect or when the orator has little time to prepare a speech themselves. This session includes:
• An overview of The Aziz Methodology and how it applies to speechwriting
• The differences between the spoken word and the printed word
• Use of language and rhetorical devices to give your speech impact and flair
• Structuring a speech for impact
• How to ensure your audience will remember your speech including using stories
We can follow up the speechwriting session with a rehearsal to practise delivering the speech.
