Tom has over 30 years experience in senior HR line and consulting roles, working across a wide range of industries. He works with C suite and senior executives and his areas of expertise are HR strategy; organisation design; change management, leadership development and executive coaching with the emphasis on improving both business and personal performance.
Tom has lived and worked in Europe and the Middle East and is presently based in Dubai.

Commercial Experience

Assessed the senior management team of a company being taken over and made recommendations on the suitability of the management team to the new company.
As HR Director for a family run business in Saudi Arabia, conceived and set up a joint venture to bring BUPA into the Middle East.
Developed a ‘business charter’ to help manage and control the acquisitionspartnerships of a large UK based conglomerate.
Has implemented the Balance Scorecard in a number of companies both in Europe and the Middle East and is kept busy helping senior management develop focused objectives and key performance indicators

Breadth of Experience

Tom has been in senior HR roles with companies such as British Aerospace and Arc International as well as senior consulting roles with Arthur Andersen and Watson Wyatt (now Towers Watson) and has worked on consulting assignments in FMCG, telecoms, manufacturing, financial services, oil and gas and utilities.

Style and coaching approach

Tom is an active listener with an empathetic style that quickly builds trust.  With his extensive senior line and consulting experience he is able to understand and provide guidance on many of the challenges faced by senior management He takes a structured approach through defining the objectives of the coaching programme and follows through with advice and strategies to address the issues.  He will also challenge and encourage taking different actions to deal with various situations.  Tom is a firm believer in positive psychology and uses tools such as Strengthscope and Hogan to help develop positive change.
