Professor Khalid AzizLVO DL FRSA![]() “Martin Luther King’s speech, ‘I have a dream’ speech, has to be one of my favourite inspirational speeches”, says Khalid Aziz, Chairman of The Aziz Corporation. “Famous speeches like this form part of our toolkit for coaching executives to overcome their fear of public speaking." “Martin Luther King’s speech is just one of the inspirational speeches that we use to develop simple techniques for improving public speaking performance,” says Khalid Aziz. “Sir Winston Churchill’s speeches also provide insight into how to become a motivating orator and accomplished public speaker.” “When it comes to public speaking, both Sir Winston Churchill’s speeches and his speech itself were compelling for different reasons,” Khalid Aziz says. “ Famous speeches he delivered always managed to press hot buttons with his audience, and his manner of speech had such an appealing drawl that you just had to listen." Executive communications and Leadership development are topics that Khalid Aziz writes and speaks about regularly. He wrote the highly acclaimed "Presenting to Win - a guide for Finance and Business Professionals" and "Managing Communications in a Crisis". He is visiting Professor of Business Communications at School of Management and is an Honorary Professor at The University of Winchester. His earlier comprehensive media career spanned the BBC, TVS and Channel 4 with current affairs and business programmes. As a producer and presenter he has also worked with The Open University, BT and PWC. He is an International Ambassador for The Prince's Youth Business Trust and was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the 1997 Queen's Birthday Honours. He is also a Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire (DL). In September 2002 Khalid was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). NAOMI HOUSE - Children's hospice © 2004 - 2008 |
